Review: The Adventure of the Copper Breeches (The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, #12) by Arthur Conan Doyle

The Adventure Of The Copper Beeches (The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, #12)The Adventure Of The Copper Beeches by Arthur Conan Doyle
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

‘The Adventure of the Copper Breeches’ is the final short story in the novel, ‘The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes’.
The short follows a young governess, unemployed and desperate for a position, who accepts a job with a couple living in a remote country home. Soon her positive first impressions of the man and his family begin to change. With a mixture of fear and uncertainty, she asks Sherlock Holmes to investigate the increasingly disturbing events that have begun to unfold around her.
I felt that this short was probably one of the best which I have read so far. It details a little dash of romance, mystery, family drama and intrigue. The writing is good but sometimes I felt that there was no editor and the sentences winded a bit too long.
Congratulations to Arthur Conan Doyle on writing a outstanding short story!
