I didn’t think much about this book. Just to clue you in – in case you haven’t guessed it yet – this is a self-help book. I remember picking this book up and dreading that it would be yet another monotonous self-help and I was partially correct. The book offered lots of ways to avoid conflict between girls and their (large) group of friends but nothing about having a very small group of friends such as 1-3 people in it. Lots of the problems that the author wrote about I did not find relevant to myself. I mean, if I could have found this book in primary school when I actually did have a lots of friends with a group that was fairly large, I guess it would have helped me more, but as my group is actually really small, I no longer find half the stuff relevant. For some reason, books such as these annoy me. They go on an on about how to be happy and being confident in yourself but it just doesn’t do it for me. This book was also fairly short so I couldn’t glean as much from it as I hoped I would be able to. For instance it largely referred to operating in a big group of friends but not much about how to deal with girls outside that group. I don’t know…just didn’t do it for me I guess.
The writing was easy to read, too. No spelling mistakes, typos or grammatical errors as far as I could see. It was nice for a small booklette type of self-help book. Congratulations to Patricia Ottaviano on publishing a book!

Rating Plan
1 star : Strongly did not like the book, writing and plot was bad. Idea of the book was against my liking.
2 star : Didn’t like it, didn’t find it interesting or gripping. Seemed to drag on to me.
3 star : An average book. Wasn’t bad or good. Everything else was well done. Original idea.
4 star : Like a 3 star but has potential to it as a series or the book grew on me as it progressed and certain scenes captured me. I Enjoyed it and read it in one sitting.
5 star : I LOVED IT! I stayed up late until 3 am. Author is a genius, characters, plot, idea, development, EVERYTHING was EXCELLENT. Nothing else can possibly be said except that its 5 STAR!
