‘I loved you when you were a man, and I love you as a woman. I see you as you are, Ave – broken into pieces and suffocating – and I love all the pieces of you, no matter how small they’ve shattered, nor how far they’ve been scattered.’
This book left me emotionally wrecked, in tears and utterly enchanted. AVERY is not the gruesome dystopian book you may think it at first, it’s a whole world encompassing real life characters with intricate inner workings. The emotions of these characters seemed so life like that I could not stop reading, and when I did – I counted down the seconds till I could pick it up again. This book is written in first point of view with four different character perspectives – their lives interconnected. The first point of view allows us to dig deeper and attach ourselves stronger, to understand them. After I finished this book – I when in search of the second…and hopes for the third. I have no words to describe it other than I was very lucky to receive this arc, and will not regret pressing ‘request’. Congratulations to Charlotte McConaghy for the publication of an epic book! There are no words!

3 star : An average book. Wasn’t bad or good. Everything else was well done. Original idea.
4 star : Like a 3 star but has potential to it as a series or the book grew on me as it progressed and certain scenes captured me. I Enjoyed it and read it in one sitting.
5 star : I LOVED IT! I stayed up late until 3 am. Author is a genius, characters, plot, idea, development, EVERYTHING was EXCELLENT. Nothing else can possibly be said except that its 5 STAR!
